Digitial DJ’ing app edjing has managed to receive $2.5million in funding from French company Entrepreneur Venture. The top-rated DJ’ing app has seen downloads more than double to surpass 10 million in the past 6 months. This additional funding, along with the recruitment of Deezer co-founder Daniel Mahrley to its Board, shows that the mobile DJ startup has no signs of slowing down.

Edjing hopes this funding will help the company grow more internationally, with 30% of its market currently in the US, followed by 20% in China. The company recently doubled its employees from 14 to 28 and is talking about expanding with hardware as well.

Edjing integrates the music from your iTunes and not surprisingly, Deezer libraries, as well as recently having added Soundcloud to its lits of compatible libraries, letting users inter-mix music from all of these libraries within the app. Its huge success can also be attributed to its availability on many mobile platforms including iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows.
